The Logan Airport Association (LAA) is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1983. LAA is made up of representatives of businesses at the airport, airline managers, and companies affiliated with the airport. The main goal of the Logan Airport Association is to raise funds for workers at the airport who are going through a difficult period in their lives and are in need of financial assistance. Recipients of these funds have included, families that have been burned out of their homes, illness, death, flooding, or other hardships. The Logan Airport Association has assisted it’s airport community through their difficult times and made their lives a little easier.
During the year, the Association holds a number of fund raising activities. These fund raisers include an annual Comedy Night, $5000 Dinner, LAA Scholarship Golf Tournament, and periodic luncheons for all members to attend to discuss upcoming events and ideas.
Since it inception, the Logan Airport Association has distributed over $200,000 in gifts to the Logan Airport families. This year alone, we have issued 14 gift checks totaling approximately $14,000.00.
